Terms and conditions
Last updated: 3 October 2026
This is an English translation of our German terms and conditions (AGB). In case of doubt, the German version applies.
The key points
- Miracal is free to use, with no time limit. Miracal PRO is optional.
- Purchases go through the App Store or Google Play – that's also where you cancel a subscription.
- Miracal has no cloud of its own: data stored only in the app (e.g. tasks) is backed up through your device's backup.
1. Scope and provider
These terms apply to the use of the Miracal app for iOS and Android (“App”) and the website www.miracal.app. The provider is:
Warin Winnicke
Alsterdorfer Str. 165
22297 Hamburg
Germany
VAT ID: DE356662333
Email: info@miracal.app
The licence for the App is additionally governed by the End-User License Agreement (EULA). Users' own terms do not apply.
2. Services
Miracal is a calendar app that brings together events from the calendars on your device, tasks, birthdays from your contacts and other features in one view. The App can be used without a purchase and without a time limit. Miracal PRO unlocks additional features; which ones, and the limits of the free version, are shown on the pricing page and in the App before you buy.
Miracal accesses the calendars, contacts and reminders set up on your device. Whether a particular calendar service (e.g. Google, Microsoft, iCloud) can be shown depends on it being set up on your device and supported by the operating system and the provider. The weather forecast requires an internet connection and is based on data from Apple WeatherKit.
3. Purchases through the App Store and Google Play
You buy Miracal PRO in the App via Apple's (App Store) or Google's (Google Play) in-app purchase. The purchase contract, including payment, is concluded under the terms of the respective store; Apple or Google handle billing. The prices shown in the store before purchase apply, including VAT.
We currently offer a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription and “Lifetime”, a one-time purchase that never renews and unlocks Miracal PRO permanently for your store account.
4. Subscriptions, cancellation and restoring
- Subscriptions renew automatically for the chosen period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You cancel in your store's subscription settings – on iPhone under Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, on Android in Google Play under Payments & subscriptions. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; PRO stays active until then. Afterwards the free limits apply again; your data is kept.
- On a new device, restore purchases with the same store account via “Restore” on the App's PRO page.
- Price changes for running subscriptions are announced according to the store's rules and only apply from the next renewal period.
5. Trials and special offers
If the App offers a free trial or an introductory price, its length, the price afterwards and the renewal are shown before purchase. A trial that isn't cancelled in time through the store converts into the chosen paid subscription. Free trials granted directly by the App without payment details end automatically.
6. Withdrawal and refunds
As purchases are processed by Apple or Google, withdrawal and refunds follow their rules; you request a refund directly from the store (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com, Google: in Google Play). Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected. If something doesn't work, write to us – we're happy to help.
7. Rights of use and obligations
You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the App on your devices for private and professional purposes; details are set out in the EULA. In particular, you may not manipulate the App or website, circumvent their security mechanisms, decompile them beyond what the law permits, or retrieve website content automatically at a scale that impairs its operation.
8. Your data and backups
Events and contacts remain in the accounts on your device. Data stored only in the App – such as tasks (unless synced with Apple Reminders), countdowns, settings and stay-in-touch reminders – is kept solely on your device. Miracal currently offers no cloud backup or export of its own for this data. If you delete the App or lose your device, this data may be lost. Please use your operating system's device backup (e.g. iCloud or Google backup). How we handle data is described in the privacy policy.
9. Availability and further development
We keep developing Miracal and adapt the App to new versions of iOS and Android. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of services that need an internet connection or third-party services (e.g. weather, store purchases). We only change paid features for a valid reason – for example new operating system versions, security, or because Apple, Google or other providers change their interfaces – and within the limits of § 327r of the German Civil Code (BGB).
10. Website content
We prepare public holidays, week numbers, bridge days and calculator results on this website carefully but without warranty. Please check important dates (e.g. for deadlines or working hours) with official sources. Calendar subscriptions (ICS) are provided free of charge, without any entitlement to permanent availability.
11. Liability
We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation) whose fulfilment makes the proper performance of the contract possible in the first place and on whose observance you may regularly rely – limited to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Otherwise, liability for slight negligence is excluded. For loss of data we are only liable for the effort that would have been needed to restore it with regular backups (section 8). Statutory warranty rights remain unaffected.
12. Changes to these terms
We may change these terms if the App, legal requirements or the stores' terms change. We'll inform you about material changes in good time in the App or on this website. Changes that affect existing paid services to your disadvantage only apply with your consent where the law requires it.
13. Governing law and jurisdiction
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer habitually resident in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain unaffected. If you are a merchant, a legal entity under public law or a special fund under public law, the place of jurisdiction is Hamburg.
14. Dispute resolution
We are neither willing nor obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
15. Final provisions
If any provision of these terms is invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions is unaffected. The statutory provisions take the place of the invalid provision.
16. Contact
We're happy to answer questions about these terms via the contact page or by email at info@miracal.app.
